M-Pesa integration is often the part that gets rushed — paybill and till behave differently, bank webhooks arrive asynchronously, and reconciling a payment to the right account by hand doesn't scale past a handful of transactions a day.
We build payment flows against the Safaricom Daraja API and bank webhook endpoints directly, treating paybill, till and STK Push as genuinely different flows rather than forcing them through one generic handler.
Paybill & till, handled separately
The two channels have different confirmation flows and are kept as distinct code paths rather than merged, since treating them as one leads to silent edge-case bugs.
STK Push checkout
A payment prompt sent straight to the customer's phone as part of the checkout flow, not a separate manual step.
Bank webhook reconciliation
Incoming bank payment webhooks matched against accounts automatically, replacing manual reference-matching.
